Award thingy

Thank you Sandra Patterson for nominating me for this award. Take the time to visit her blog; there are some great posts there and useful advice…take notes people, Sandra has just signed up with the Kate Nash Literary Agency!

There are a few things I have to do now I’ve accepted this award, and so will the people I nominate:

1. Thank and link back to the person that gave this award.
2. Answer the 10 survey questions.
3. Pass the award along to other bloggers who you think are fantastic.
4. Contact the bloggers you’ve picked to let them know about the award.

Ok, it’s hammer time:

1. If you blog anonymously, are you happy doing this; if you are not anonymous, do you wish that you had started out anonymously so that you could be anonymous now?

Hmmm, it’s a tempting idea. Complete anonymity and the power to abuse and rant in a blog without consequence…wait a minute I already abuse and rant and ignore the consequences!

2. Describe an incident that shows your inner stubborn side.

Erm, that’s not too hard. I show my stubborn side every day. How about this evening when I spent hours detangling a second pair of Christmas lights even though one set was enough on the tree? Not convinced? How about the fact I finally tested them, realised they weren’t working and still insisted on hours of untangling? Yes, there were tears, shouting and maybe some blood.

3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the mirror?

It depends what time of day it is.

4. What is your favourite summer cold drink?

Ice laden Coca Cola.

5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?

Watch movies.

6. Is there something that you still want to accomplish in your life? What is it?

The list is long. It might make a good blog posting actually. To have several books published is the main one obviously.

7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever, the shy person, or always ditching?

The shy person who did well enough to blend in but held back on the brains so as not to get noticed.

8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment in your life, what would you see?

Too many days to think about, and I still don’t seem to learn from them.

9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people or events?

I still don’t really understand my true self so it’s mostly guesswork when I talk about me. I’m happy to share my guesses though.

10. If you had the choice to sit down and read a book or talk on the phone, which would you do and why?

Book every time. Apart from the fact I don’t really like talking on the phone I don’t need to be asked twice when it comes to reading.

I’d like to nominate Ellie Garratt and Lily Childs for this award, get posting some good answers you two!

  1. Thank you for my award!

Fascinating questions that make you consider topics you may not have thought were important before. You gave some insightful answers, and I feel I know you a lot better now.

I will probably fit this into my blogging schedule next week!
