Phew! The A-Z challenge is over…
Technically it was over on the 30th April, but I wanted to leave the blog alone for one day – just to prove that I could!
Well done to everyone who participated and, hopefully, managed all twenty-six posts without tearing out too much hair or losing too much sleep. I hope you all had as much fun as I did!
Throughout the challenge I stuck with the theme of writing advice and I hope at least some of my articles proved useful to you. To the smart alecs who pointed out that I only have twenty-five deadly sins of writing and asked me which letter I missed – the first post was an introduction to the challenge and to my theme…plus twenty-five is a nice round number.
I have to admit there were a few times when I found the challenge daunting, mostly when I noticed it was 11pm and I only had a post to get a decent article written. It didn’t help that even in these situations I tried to write a reasonable sized and semi-useful article rather than bunging up some nonsense to fill the day.
I have to hold my hands up though and admit to one failure. My entry for the letter ‘N’ was posted seventeen minutes after midnight…tut, tut, tut. Although thankfully it was a Saturday entry that was late so I didn’t end up posting two letters on one day.
As for the rest of the month I really enjoyed myself. It was a challenge to stick to one theme but it was also very helpful and I even learnt a few things along the way. A few of the articles I posted I was learning along with my readers as I researched the material at the same time as writing the relevant entries.
Thanks to everyone who commented during the challenge, your comments really spurred me on and let me know I wasn’t tearing my hair out in frustration for no good reason.
I’m looking forward to next year’s A-Z…although I think a little more preparation may be called for next time!
I will soon be adding a link to my site in order for people to quickly access the amazing and zestful advice I offered during the challenge.

  1. Zestful advice? What blog was that on? :p

In all seriousness, I've enjoyed following you through April (however, no more so than any other month!) and happy to note you stuck with it.

  2. Whew! So glad it's over, as fun as it was. I am grateful for things getting back to normal in bloggydom and my world. Congratulations and nice to have "met" you.

  5. Way to go on completing the challenge! Good luck with completing your current WIP and short stories. I also tried to put something useful in each post, but man, it was hard keeping up with everything!

  7. Congratulations on finishing the A-Z blogging challenge. I provided absolutely no support and didn't comment on anything (you're welcome).

But now I've a back catalogue of literary advice to follow. Huzzah for me.
