Nano: Day 11 – Wooooooooaaaaah, my words are on fiiiiirrrreee!!

Just a really quick update for now, because I’m on fire tonight!

Well, not literally on fire otherwise I’d be scribbling down what it felt like for future novels, and then I wouldn’t be working on nano! Unless of course someone gets set on fire in my nano novel, then I could say it was for research purposes? But I suppose it wouldn’t count towards my word count, which is what is important at the moment as I’m lagging…

But anyway…I digress.

Where was I? Oh yeah, fire: in a good way.

3,005 words written today….so far.

I’m hoping to get some more done before sleepy time. I may still be lagging by around 3k plus change, but every word I write reduces that lag amount.

So if you are lagging, try not to worry about it too much. I know it’s hard but you have to look at it in a positive light.

You can’t say:

“Oh my God, I’ve only written 200 words today, I’m soooo far behind!”

You have to think:

“I’m 200 words better off than I would have been if I didn’t type today.”

You may still be behind, but you’re behind by slightly less 🙂
