Stylish Blogger Award and ‘interesting’ stuff about me
Thank you, Sandra for my Stylish Blogger Award. It is much appreciated.
According to the conditions of the award I have to now list seven interesting things about me…yeesh!
Couldn’t I just run a marathon instead or walk over hot coals? It would be a lot easier! No? Fine, here goes nothing:
1. I was once hit by a car while on holiday as a child in Greece. The car I was hit by was driven by an English paramedic! What are the chances!
2. I once owned 40+ pets in a rented house, that by contract wouldn’t allow pets, when I left the landlord said he had never had the house returned in such good condition. He didn’t have a clue I had a single pet!
3. I once held the door open for famous horror author Simon Clark, at a writer’s event in Derby and almost weed when he said thank you…I said almost.
4. I have had my Achilles tendon slashed open during surgery…that was tender!
5. In my last job I worked as an IT engineer for a mill, turns out my Gran worked in that same mill as a young girl! I didn’t know until a long time after I got the job.
6. I was born with a 666 tattoo on my ass…OK that one’s a lie, but I do have a vampire tattoo on my arm!
7. I have major OCD, and not the ‘popular’ OCD that people seem to have developed over recent years. I mean miss-the-bus-to-work-and-get-a-bollocking-because-I-had-to-check-the door-twenty-times OCD!
There you go, you learn something new every day…even if you didn’t want to.
Here are my nominations for this award:
Secluded Charm
Gone Writing
I Refuse To Go Quietly!
Emma Bragg
Ellie Garratt
Calling Shotgun
Wise Words

Aw, thanks for the nomination!
Do I have it rescinded if I feel compelled to ask about one of your interesting facts? Such as what were all those pets?!
Pretty much two or more of everything 😛
Dogs, cat, ferrets, quails, rats, mice, lizards, rabbits, parrots, lovebirds, turtles, goldfish, hamsters…etc 😀
How mightily interesting! And congrats on the award.
I have a touch of superstition OCD – it's worse when I'm stressed. I have to turn a particular way when I come out of doors; have to touch the door-lock when I leave the house and say a particular phrase as I do it etc – it's all to stop anything bad happening.
BTW, my daughter was born with a cyclic 666 on her arm – it faded after a year. Whenever I tried to take photos of it, they never came out. Weird.
OOO – thanks for the nomination, young man! However, I had this from someone else recently – am I allowed to have this TWICE ? till, I suppose it's like getting Oscars…….. 🙂
Thankyou, anyway!
(….thinking about it, a '666' tattoo would have really been something to brag about, regardless of where it was!)
Stephen, you should have opened a petting zoo for kids. That way you could have worked from home and never got a bollocking for missing the bus!
Have a great day!
Wow, these were super cool things you listed. Well, getting in a car crash isn't cool. But getting hit by a paramedic is ironic!
Came over from Jeremy's blog, nice to meet you!
Oh duh! Grats on the award!!!
good morning! your throne over on iZombie begins…

Congratulations and those are some wild truths.
Hmmm, so I might be interesting after all? Maybe I should get some of the seven facts about me printed on a t-shirt? What a great conversation starter! Thanks for the comments, guys and gals!
